Finished the main story in fallout.

The ending is a bit of an anticlimax if i'm honest but the story is pretty

Not as good as new vegas' story tho IMO.

I was a bit pissed off at how pointless the faction quests were tho.  Usually each faction will have its own story line, yet in fallout you don't really get that.  They all have their own recurring quests but they don't really add to anything.

To advance relationships with the factions you need to progress the main story and i didn't really like that.

They should have made it so that your character's husband/wife is taken too at the start of the game rather than murdered. Would add a bit more to the main story, make you feel a bit less guilty about pissing around doing side missions while your son's missing and - spoilers:

[spoiler]Making the reveal that sixty years have passed, Shaun has grown old and your partner has long since died of old age a bit more impactful.

Which storyline did you do, Morph? Think I stumbled into the Minutemen one without really thinking about it. The first conversation I had with Shaun in the Institute I waited until he turned his back then hit him with a double-barrelled :: [/spoiler]

[spoiler] My storyline was a bit of a mess. Because you're almost forced to do faction quests to advance the story line (and until the end it doesn't seem to matter who you pick) I was allied to BoS, the institute, the minutemen quite heavily. I'd also been doing the railroad quests as well.

They all sort if contradict each other but it didn't seem to matter.

I ended up siding with the institute and becoming the leader.

I've made a new save and I'm already level 30 Going to try and take every faction as far as they can before I go see the boy in the Glowing Sea.

I'm just going to continue with my character and hunt for side quests now. I'm pretty OP tho. I just kick about in power armour and mele everyone.


I found the game way too easy. The only thing I found difficult to defeat were deathclaws. Super mutants were ridic easy considering how difficult they were in F3. Ill maybe bump the difficulty up and start a new save at some point.

I've been playing off and on - think I've spent too long setting up my camp though, at least they've got water and a generator going.

Went out to find more settlers, only to kill the first lot that I came across as the stupid bint came out with a shotgun in her hand.

Preston was not best pleased.

It is massive though - I just don't have the time to put into it
