I am asking why the states would KB a Brit looking to immigrate to America but would take a more sympathetic stance to someone from Iraq/Iran etc. The article doesn't explicitly say refugees and mentions visa holders. How is it more difficult for us to get a visa than someone from Iran? Is it to keep their governments on side or?

You think the US have an open door migration policy with Iran?
Genuinely you think that?

Scotland, Russia, China, North Korea, Palestine
^^^ Iran's only pals

No but from the article it would suggest that it is possible to get a visa, which is pretty much impossible here unless you qualify under the 'specialist labour' thing or marry into the country.
There's also a pretty big middle eastern population, or what seemed like it anyway in New York. I'm assuming that is replicated in other major cities around the states. Maybe they were all illegals

I was obviously asking about something I had little knowledge on Scott.
Instead of maybe engaging and letting me know I was well off the mark, in typical SJW left wing fashion you just looked to attack and silence. What a shame.

Why can Iranians get into the States easier than Brits.
Sorry man, big day today so pulling out the patronising sarcasm on the internetz keeps me calm.

How is it more difficult for us to get a visa than someone from Iran? 1. It's much, much easier for us to get to the US in the first place, because of the ESTA scheme. Which non-Westernised countries are not part of. 2. That means the hurdles which Middle Easterners have to leap over are way higher. If they get over them, then they have something of a chance of being able to live in the US: provided they have a job offer, that is. Other than in a handful of professions, it's close to impossible for English language speakers to do the same, because in most cases, we'd be taking a job which an American could do instead. 3. As for these latest developments... which country did the 9/11 attackers come from? Which country does Wahhabi extremism come from? Which country has funded ISIS more than any other? Yet which country does not appear on the list of those facing these restrictions now? Trump is an absolute joke of a man.

Green card lottery not open to folk from UK for instance because more UK people can come through work etc. I don't think Morph's question was daft.

@CNNPolitics BREAKING: President Trump says intelligence officials have told him torture "absolutely" work
This despite reams of evidence to the contrary. I hope he's stopped by whatever means necessary.

He'll be impeached by Easter at the rate he's going. Absolute maniac.

Well I think any hopes we had of him being a harmless idiot have been thrown out of the window and it isn't even the end of the first week.
