The bursd just told me she's got me a jack russell puppy for Christmas, but wanted to check with me before she picks him up and pays the guy.
Tbh I hate jack russells but it's possibly just the ones I've met. Anyone got any positive experiences? I just know them as nippy, yappy, bitey wee shits
They would be top of the list of species I wouldn't want tbh

Alongside greyhounds, I grew up with a couple of Jack Russell's. As long as you train them right, they're cracking dugs. Obviously, there's a bit of 'Wee Dug Syndrome' but definitely great dugs to have. They were brilliant with kids as well.
Have wanted a dog for ages, AP, just unsure about jack russells. Got nipped by one when I was a kid, but I think I might've pissed it off, thinking about it.
Would love a big one like that but I don't have the space. I live in a flat but work from home, so have the time for three walks a day, two for 30 mins plus I'd say. Parks etc nearby.
Preferably nothing that sheds too much, good with kids. I know a lot of a dog's temperament is down to training and upbringing, but something that's naturally on the calmer side would be good.
That reminds me, was at Saughton Park the other week with the boy and passed a guy with two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Beautiful things; they were practically galloping
