They come out after the fortnight and then what? Wait until they develop symptoms again? If they're not testing you to determine if you've got it or developed anti-bodies you won't know if it's CV19 or it was just another run of the mill winter cough, etc. Guess it just goes on like this unless you start with shortness of breath, then you need to burden the NHS.

It's a pretty shite state of affairs.

I don't think the idea of the self isolation is to protect the individual with symptoms it's to protect everyone else from the spread.

The UK gvt approach seems like a joke tbf, I don't know anything about the measures they're taking because I'm not a scientist but their communication to the public is ridic. You can blame the public a bit for being idiots but the confusion is not being helped at all by the complete lack of clear communication coming from them.

Yes, I agree, it's just that when you factor in that it's not meant to peak until June (based on what 'spreading' model who knows) it seems in all likelihood many are going to go into isolation, come out only for them to get sick again, and possibly again. I was pretty sick around the year, not quite one of the every ten year flus but not far off it, with the coughing aspect of it being particularly nasty. I still have a wee upper tract cough, and have had for a good few weeks now, otherwise I have felt fine, and healthy. Have I had it, do I have it, will I get it, will I get it again? It's no easy.

I read the other day that some earlier year 'influenza' deaths in the USA, post mortem showed that they did indeed have the CV19 virus in their system. Now whether their deaths were actually due to CV19 or a heightened flu year I couldn't tell you.

Way I read it is that this is a super-flu year, and the usual 1m worldwide deaths you'd see in a bad year are going to be surpassed with the usual suspects getting it tight, unfortunately.

They need to get that anti-bodies test out sharpish so they can determine when this all kicked off properly.

Ibuprofen and cortisone are the two they're mentioning, so anything including them (e.g. Nurofen etc). Probably worth checking ingredient lists before buying anything - think Lemsip's fine, but I know fuck all about this stuff tbf.

Cool, ok got you! I've got a fair amount of stuff I brought with me (which in fairness is prob out of date) but I'll compare specs to see what's usable if it needed.
