That's the sum the International Institute for Sustainable Development came up with a couple of years ago.

Basically, that's what would be needed (per year) to expand and link the agricultural output of developing countries to those who need it most and to make it sustainable. Much of the problem isn't a lack of food so much as the difficulty in getting it to impoverished rural areas most at risk of hunger, a lot of the money would be used to build and maintain the infrastructure needed.
