Dundee came to give us a game and we tore them up. Not many of the teams in this league will be daft enough to try that.

Someone actually said that on their match thread. Reckons that performance will terrify the rest of the league and we will face a blanket park the bus tactic from now on from all of them.

I thought we passed through the lines quite well last night. Granted there'll be less space, but the wingers will push their full backs to the byline to make space and walker looks fruitful behind the striker.
Teams are right to fear us and, by the sane token, we'll rack up cricket scores against a few regardless of how they set up.

There won't be many teams who go with a 3 at the back after the way we overloaded the wings. We clearly feel our two in the centre can combat any three from any other side. Will likely come up against far more 451 formations and looking for a point.

Fair play to mcpake for bringing the game to us tbh. If a couple of things had went their way it could have been a different score as our defence gives away a lot of chances.

When Dundee went to a flat back four the game was pretty even. But Irving and Lee were stinking the place up to be honest. We were better again when Haring and Halliday came in.

Dundee were fucked too tbf. We actually looked fit last night which is a major difference from recent years.
We've got great options at the moment imo. One more striker wouldn't hurt though.

Lets face it, we had the cigars and slippers out at 4-1.
As soon as Neilson firmed the midfield up, Adam disappeared from the game and we put another couple of goals on them.

On the Adam thing I actually do think he'd do well with us because he probably wouldn't need to run as much. He'd get away with the Skacel role with Hearts, due to us having better and fitter players than Dundee.
With Dundee though he doesn't have that luxury so he tired himself out and fell out of the game. imo anyway.

He won't need to work as hard as he did most weeks, and he will likely drag Dundee through games against some of the shite in this league

Forgot he was even playing. Absolute nothing player.

He did orite offensively first half.
Irving had his worst performance in his career and should've been sent off, which is weird to say after winning 6-2.

I think our midfield will be Halliday and one other most weeks when he is fit

Halliday wasn't signed to be a squad player; he'll play the vast majority of games.
Thought Irving was poor and absolutely should have been sent off. Didn't really notice Lee much, but he'll do fine if he plays regularly.

Generally quite like Irving but he was woeful last night. It might be one of those sliding doors moments though: having not been sent of he'll probably play next time, had he been sent off he may never have been seen again.

I'd hold my breath on that one, compliance officer can still get involved |
