Strachan was well past his sell by date when he took over and persisted in picking players like Chris Martin and Steven Fletcher because they ran about a lot.
McLeish was suffering from some sort of brain injury or was a full blown jakey when he took over a second time and only got the gig because Rod Petrie & Alan MacRae pulled the strings to get their pal a final pay day.
At least we now have a manager who wants to be in charge, has a system and isn't shy about picking players who actually want to play for the country rather than the regular call off crowd who couldn't point to Hampden on a fucking map!!
It actually gives you pride back in the National team again rather than just feeling shite about being Scottish and tracing my heritage hoping I'm part Argentinian.

Dykes jumps higher than CR7 when he goes for a header.
Dykes won everything in the air - honestly can't remember a header he lost
The bit of play leading up to Robertson blazing over was class from Dykes as well.
Regarding Strachan, the amount of people saying a few games back that we should never have sacked him, were turning a corner at the time etc. They can get fucked. The guy was a failure and was given ample time to not fail. Finishing behind Ireland ffs - unacceptable.

Feels like the whole team is Scottish and Dykes is like our special bonus ball guy that every national team has.
Mcburnie is English yeah and tbh he does act a bit weirder than everyone else. I know the players like him but as a fan it's hard to take to him. Anyone that is cocky and can't back it up will always come across as a tool tbf
All 3 of them were 2-3 in 98. Can just imagine their Scottish dad's sitting with them during that tournament. They definitely had Scotland drilled into then growing up from their old men. Don't care what anyone says, it makes a huge difference, as a fan especially, to have an actual team of players proud to pull on the shirt. Especially if we lose we know they gave it all. Feels good not to be frustrated at the team for once.
Mcburnies da is clearly a massive Scotland fan as well as being a big rangers man. You can just see that he's not brilliant but he knows the abuse he gets as well and is probably trying too hard
