Good chance they're doing that to show solidarity with their staff. Will be many who werent going to go out, regardless of arrests, so this is a way of showing they're behind them.

That was on Monday night. Took a massive chunk out underneath the window in the wheelchair/buggy space. Think that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

They've patrols on foot and by car. They've put undercover cops on buses. They've arrested and charged 18 folk and spoken to another 140. Is there much else they could've done?

Lothian pulling the services is obviously an attempt to get the council/police to do more about it. What more they can do is a difficult call, but I can see why Lothian are doing it. If their drivers feel unsafe and unprotected then pulling the services is entirely the right thing to do.

I know I actually was going to say that we used to just pelt them with eggs, putting the windows in is a step too far like.

Threw a snowball at a bus and smashed the wing mirror off, driver stopped in the middle of the road, got out and chased me down the street. Bus drivers were tougher back then

I wonder if Lockdown is maybe playing a part in this; the past year must have been boring as fuck for your average 12-15 year old.

Only bus that ever got bricked up our way was the school bus for the local RC High School.

Why they thought it a good idea to have them finish 10 minutes before my school made no sense at all. The bus would go past and there would be the back window open with them tossing eggs, seats and all sorts of shit out, then it would get stuck in traffic and get the windows put in.

Used to make it worse when the local schemes were all fighting too, as you'd have running battles along the bypass alongside the buses getting tanned.

Beyond that it was always snowballs in the winter and eggs in the summer.

Think Fettes used to get it's windows tanned just about every weekend for a while when we were younger

At our school stop on the main street, we would hide in the bushes and wait until the driver opened the doors then fire in an absolute barrage of snowballs. One driver turned the bus around and drove into the school, all the way up to the front doors to complain
