If anybody needs an easy chair (blue) there's one on Loganlea (road) to Fauldhouse. Overlooking a field full of sheep and lambs and beyond the river valley, to Stoneyburn. Nice view.

Anyone got any recommendations for digs in Aviemore? Wanting to fuck off up there for a few days when we're allowed, but not been for years

Any kind of digs really. Nice hotel, cabin etc.

Had a couple of air bnb's up there and they've always been nice, don't think you can go wrong with most of them.

The MacDonald Highland resort has hotels and log cabins, also has an onsite pool and cinema. Sign up to their mailing list as I'm sure I had an email a few days ago saying 30% off just now.  It is bang in the middle of Aviemore so ideal if you're planning a few pints at night.

There is also the Coylumbridge hotel which is just outside the centre and has a pool and soft play, not stayed there for years but heard it has went downhill since the Hilton sold it.

I've also booked a bungalow before and that was also decent, seemed most of the houses in the street were holiday let's and only a 2 minute drive to the centre.

Few decent day outs up that way too...

I did the one in Peebles before. Was decent but we went first so we got through it fairly quick. Could imagine if you were one of the last to go out of the group it would be long and boring.

Long boring and fucking hard. Lulled in to a false sense of security with the stupid wee warm up bit.

That's where I stayed when we went up. Was absolutely spot on, and they had a sports hall where you could rent a badminton court for an hour or two. 

Think it's pretty much the first thing you come to when you drive out of Aviemore, could walk to the town centre.
