Anyone can do that though, thing is you'll need to take the consequences on the chin (jail) after you've done it.

Opposing groups going out just adds fuel to the fire, that's when folk start getting seriously hurt, but if that's what folk are in to then fair enough.

I’m not going to go out and scrap these guys but I’d say more power to anyone who goes and puts themselves in between these vulnerable people and the nut jobs because the polis aren’t always reacting to it fast enough.

Get your point and don’t necessarily disagree with what the polis are doing but at the same time can imagine how terrifying it would be if you were on the end of it and the police are just standing there letting it happen while they gather their intelligence and no one else is there for you.

Going out and showing support for the people in your community is good guy behaviour for me, as long as that’s what you’re there to do and not just look for bother.

A guy that used to play fives with me was match commander regularly at Parkhead and he said that the tactics they used were the exact same as this.

His reasoning was why send a group of cops wading in to remove someone who was up to no good from their seat during the match, thus risking attacks from those sitting around them on the cops, when you could pick them out on CCTV, get their details from the club and then put their door in on the Tuesday morning.

He said the exception would be if you could easily lift them on the concourse during the game, which was easier said than done, but in the main it was better to catch them after the event when they least expected it.

Some boy taking part in the Southport riots got 3 year, attacked an emergency worker anaw.

JSO got 5 year for conspiring to arrange a non violent protest so feels a bit lenient on that precedent but still shree year is still significant.
