The Russians came out recently and said Israel is Russian speaking or something along those lines, the Chinese are chucking Muslims in concentration camps. The Americans speak for themselves, the Europeans are too feard to stick their head above the parapet (think Germany particularly are shite scared of the anti semitic brush), the UK are just America lite and aren’t even a big player just a wee irrelevant pain in the arse at the end of the day.

It doesn’t benefit anyone to stick their neck out and invite everything that comes to just back Palestinians with words never mind actually demand and force practical intervention. It’s a vote loser.

What are the Arab nations up to in all of this? I’d imagine they all fucking hate Israel but are a bit limited in what they can do unless they want the American marines rolling up on their door step?

I get the impression that the Palestinians are the Roma of the Arab World.

I’m not really sure about the history of the Roma folk but if they were an indigenous population who had millenniums of history in their land then were expelled from that land by foreign occupiers and subsequently the victim of decades of ethnic cleansing to try and wipe them off the map then they’re very similar aye.

I actually don't think it is a vote loser anymore, if Labour grew some balls and actively went against Israel they'd win back a shit ton of voters who've been turned off. 

The cunts that they'd lose would be voting reform anyway. 

The only reason the UK and the yanks don't, other than Trump seeing a property venture on the horizon, is because all the political parties are powered enough by Israeli money.

Thats half the problem though - they are masters at foreign interference and if Labour went against them properly they’d feel the wrath of Israel’s huge propaganda machine and in turn it kills them in the polls. It’s already happening imo. I’d imagine there’s already been fuss kicked up over Streeting’s comments anaw and they were tame as fuck. Labour rely on reform swing voters now they’re not interested in the left hand side of what the party wants - again we’re not just chatting about vocally condemning Israel we’re talking a hypothetical where the UK directly intervenes to prevent or disrupt the genocide, it would absolutely kill Labour especially if they had no support from Europe/Canada etc. You’d then feel the pressure from these massive arms players like BAE coming after you if you were to restrict arms trade or similar.

We have a large part to play in the problem but we’re not exactly a big player so any efforts by the UK alone would be futile and I think is probably another reason why Starmer doesn’t think it’s worth it regardless of the moral price of that decision. I think he’s a piece of shit for that, not justifying his decisions btw.

There's just this massive disconnect between public opinion on Israel and the actions of Western political leaders. Even among white evangelicals in the States, a core pro-Israel group, they're losing support fast.

Am I missing something massive with labour? Kuennsburg is presenting this as the Suez crisis mk 2. Surely the backbenchers forcing the govt to amend a bill is the sign of a healthy parliamentary democracy?
