They’ll be scrambling about for more loan signings or free agents as they’ll not want to spend money in a January window when they’ve no clue who the new manager will want to keep when he eventually comes in.

Their fans will love that he’s back, but from the ones I spoke to who actually attend the games, they said that the standard on show was dreadful, Feynoord aside, and that they could’ve drawn against St Mirren, Hibs & Dundee under his watch.

He would, but I think his Rangers tendencies might rule him out of that one, but I’d be very shocked if he’s not the front runner for the Aberdeen gig.

Nancy was the sort of appointment that could only work with a full pre-season to shape the squad his way, but even then, it's debatable.

Trouble with that club is that those entitled arsehole fans treat not winning every single domestic trophy going as a generational tragedy; there's no scope for someone to come in and make major changes in the long run lest another club actually wins something. Good for us in a way, as they'll never adapt.

As an American and an avid follower of the MLS, I thought Nancy was an odd appointment to begin with. The way he set up his teams at Columbus was never going to work at Celtic and the players he had there.

Didn't think he would get sacked this quick mind haha but in general not surprised didn't work out either.

Not gonna lie.

MON is a good appointment for them for the run in. Especially as players like Jota return.

He'll play to a formation they play well. And he's got that old head done it before a hundred times experience when nerves kick in.

But we've got a 6 point lead plus GD. And Jordi Altena and Islam Chesnokov has sorted an entire flank.

If we do then add a record signing CF. We'll be hard to catch. Effectively 7pts from 18 games.

Don't know my point really. Not used to commenting on a league challenge.

Odd decision when Neilson was apparently interested, can't imagine he'd have commanded much compo as an assistant. Either that or he's chosen to stay as Lee Johnsons assistant which is an even bigger black mark against Killie.

I like myself a bit of Neil McCann tbh. I’d take him at Hearts over Neilson if we were still in the budge era

McCann strikes me as the type who interviews well, not a fan of either but I’d say Nelson’s 2 championship titles, cup finals and semi finals would count as a better CV as well, McCann is involved with an agency so probably going to bring a bunch of players with him and that’s maybe swayed it.

TBH I’d have kept Kettelwell over McCann I just don’t see it as a good appointment

McCann is a great pundit, but not sure he is the man to take Killie forward in 2026.

Kettlewell and McCann Laugh Could at least think outside the box a tiny bit.
