It wasn't really a campaign tho was it? It was essentially single player multiplayer. It had a rough story to it but the whole game was geared towards multilayer, like the new one.

It plays quite well tbh. It's basically a re skinned battlefield. Probably not worth the hype but it is a good game.

I regret paying 50 for it though.
Plays nothing like battlefield imo, that's what i thought it was going to be.

Surely a lot of people/VLs would want to play it to follow the film chronology and have some kind of storyline?
If you wanted that you'd buy one of the film games.
There's quite a few popular games that lack any real story and are made purposefully for multiplayer. Despite it originally being a mod, Counterstrke springs to mind. It's the way the COD games are going too. Not be long before the single player is panned completely.
I don't think Star wars is really doing anything wrong. They've not promised a campaign so it's not like it's duped anyone into buying something they haven't delivered.
Most people are buying FPS to play online, so it's no real surprise they're geared towards that.

Having never played any Star Wars games outside of the original NES one I don't know if any of them offer the same kind of experience. They all seem very different types of game from what I've seen.
Is there anything wrong with people expecting them to be offering both multiplayer and even a 15-20 hour campaign, given they're charging full price? Take your point that there's no obligation, but I reckon they're probably entitled to feel it's poor value for money. A lot of people want a campaign to work through.

Anna Kendrick in the advert though so
Showing your age there, I played it too
That was the one where you could play as Luke, Han or Leia and had the pilot sections, right? Quite impressive for the time.

I know
Mind my ma and I had to queue up outside Dixon's on Princes Street on a Saturday morning because they were selling it for cheap to the first 100 customers. My mum loves a bargain
The Millennium Falcon and X-Wing bits were incredible for the time
