Hard to say, i don't watch loads of TV, mainly Netflix series, Homeland is really good if you haven't watched that yet, Narcos is quality, Luther is quality, i like watching documentaries on a whole variety of subjects, i just hate mind numbing "funny" American shit, most of them are as bad as Mrs Browns boys and Miranda tbh.
The problem you have here Lewis, is you are just naming your standard 'excellent' shows which everyone largely agrees on:

'Have you guys ever seen Breaking Bad? That's quite good. Band of Brothers is another decent show. The Wire is excellent as well.'

All vanilla, boring suggestions. Nothing which we don't already know. And then add in documentaries so you come across intelligent.

As an aside, American Sitcoms serve their purpose. I don't get why people are so quick to point out how superior they are because they watch high-brow TV. Sometimes sitting back and watching Friends or HIMYM and not having to massively think about a lot is just as enjoyable as watching a documentary on the LHC. It's TV.

Agree with Underwood. This thread was much better when people were suggesting unusual, obscure series like Friends or How I Met Your Mother.

Think I mentioned this earlier but check out "F is for Family"

Animation sitcom set in the early 1970's in American suburbia.   Very funny and sharply written.

Its on Netflix

Also on your other point underwood, i watch what i want to watch and what i like, I'd rather watch some documentary that I'm interested in than some fucking shite unfunny sitcom that nips my head, each to their own i suppose.

Been watching Rick and Morty, just noticed season 2 of Brooklyn is on Netflix.

Halt and Catch fire is excellent, just start with season 2.

No, it's just the things i watch. I'm not a snob, especially when it comes to TV, surprisingly, i just find they sort of programmes shite to the point of really irritating me.

It kind of is though. There's a documentaries thread, plenty of us watch them, no one else has mentioned them because this is the TV box set thread. You've tried to deflect your shite taste in telly by professing that you "prefer" documentaries, when no one asked nor cared about that.

Is that what we're classing as a documentary? Is that not a "reality" program like Storage Hunters and all that sort?
