Sorry I need glasses and don't look like a paedo wearing them.

What are you spending loads of cash on? I've got 2 pairs on their way to me for £32 including delivery and lenses. My Ray Bans were £89 all in. I don't take great care of them so can't justify £300 on Oliver People's or whatnot.

Frames are generally about 80-100 but the lenses I usually need to get are the same price. Planning on taking a note of my prescription and measurements next time I'm in to save cash next time I need a new pair and just order them online.

£125 from spec savers.

I wanted to get my first pair from them in case the prescription was off, then they need to fix it for free. Didn't really shop about at all and I was quite keen to get them ordered, pick them up on Friday.

Why don't you have your prescription? Didn't think they were allowed to hold it to ransom after your test.

You'll get any pair of glasses you can get in store much much cheaper online. There's a fuck ton of glasses you'd never see in a shop online as well. How bad are your eyes that lenses are £100? Reckon you're getting done there.

Ouch. Branded or spec savers brand? Fair play if it's your first pair and you want to try them on first/make sure everything is ok. I got my test with them and they gave me my prescription on a wee card. Just thanked them, left, and ordered a pair online for next day delivery.

What pair you get?

One of my eyes is ridiculously bad, borderline blind in reality, so they need to thin one of the lenses down so I don't look like I'm wearing goggles Snake

I'll be honest, it's pure laziness on my part that I've never just got my prescription, that and my head is abnormally large so I would definitely need the measurements before I could order my glasses online.

That's the Specsavers 'designer' brand mate

My prescription is -6.75 so need the lenses thinned down so I usually get them from specsavers as it's easier to deal with if there's any problems to get sorted

The measurements are on the inside leg of your current spectacles. Just find a pair that match. Glasses direct have a virtual try on and let you try to before you buy at home too. Pretty sure thin lenses is only an extra 10-20 on any site I've looked at, not that I need them.

Aware of that, the measurements on mine have worn off though Mugbie Laugh

Will probably end up just checking out a YouTube video on how to get the measurements myself tbh.

They were talking the last time I was at the optician about just giving up on my bad eye if it's still the same so next pair shouldn't need thinned down Quite Good

Fair enough. Tbh I struggled to find ones I liked, I just wanted normal black glasses.  There were loads that were decent but then they'd have different coloured arms or the tip of the arm would be a really bright stand out colour.

Seen decent French connection ones that's I was going to buy but had snow camouflage tips Wiggo

They're the ones I bought.

Not sure what my prescription is, think it's -0.75

L -0.25 -0.75
R -0.75

That's what it says on the wee card I got, not sure why the left eye has 2 numbers though.

Aye I'm not a bit fan of specsavers for that. The guys section is just all rectangle frames too, prefer mine rounder. Definitely check out the raybans on glasses direct, mostly under £100. Their own range London Retro is smart too, and buy one get one free.

I'm not even sure how often I'll need to wear them. I'm basically just struggling to read signs and stuff like that, any writing that's over 5/6m away and I can't make out what it says.

Will see how these glasses go and then take it from there, quite fancy a wee turtle shell pair Pinilla

That's what prompted me getting my eyes tested, that and I'm a hipster cunt who wanted glasses. It was the bus numbers wot did it. Could normally see my bus coming no bother but gradually it became harder to tell what number it was. Can see it crystal clear now. ]

It's honestly worth just buying a few cheap shit pairs to test colours and styles. I've posted it before but I've got a few pairs from www.toyshades.com. All acrylic and nothing fancy but I picked up 2 pairs at £16 each all in in their 60% off deal the other day. Plenty tortoise shell. Watch though, because there's a few pairs that by themselves look smart then you see them on the boys face. For example, thought these were nice:

Look huge on though

Got myself these:

(looks like one of those 80s portraits for some reason Laugh)

And got a bit brave and chucked in these fellys because they were so cheap.

My skin is shit so can't handle clean shaving, haven't done it for years.

Probably pick up a new trimmer soon or after Xmas.

I'm actually worried about the nick of my face under my scruff. Coming on 4 years since I last wet shaved and had a few scares of the barbers itch in that time. Could be scarred to fuck.
