Just saw Passengers. Silly (the last half hour is extremely Hollywood) but enjoyable enough. Could quite happily watch Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence have quite a nice time in a sleek spaceship for 90 mins on its own. 7/10.
I love how, in a film about two whities in peril, the black guy is the only one who dies. Warnock
La La Land - 7/10

Looks amazing and the musical numbers are decent. Seems to be getting overhyped because it's basically a love letter to Hollywood so it will pick up all sorts of awards from Hollywood lovies. Gosling and Stone are both excellent in their roles with more humour than I was expecting.

Take the bursd to see it for some easy brownie points Sound

Two films for me in the last couple of days.

At the cinema: Silence.  Quite enjoyable, very tense.

Recorded at home: The Hunt for Red October.  Seen it countless times but still enjoy it each time, despite Sean Connery's lack of an attempt at an accent.  Can't beat a Cold War, espionage, spy thriller effort.

The Nice Guys 7/10
Bit daft but quite enjoyable in a Hollywood dead-pan way.Not overly fond of Gosling's performances but he seemed to nail this character.

La La Land Wow

Not a musical man in any sense but that was amazing.  Stone was unreal.

Quite fancy watching it again.

Looking forward to this, fair to say Shayamalan back on form then? I've always liked his movies.

Hunt for the wilderpeople - 7/10

Decent comedy written by Taika Waititi who co wrote what we do in the shadows.

It's on Netflix

Not what I was expecting at all. Was done well but not sure what to make of it. Nice ending.
