Yeah that's brutal. Quite tragic circumstances as his life is ruined, the young girl has also now had her life changed as well. Whether she should have let on her age etc is another question. The fact the cops didn't have an issue with her being out late in town on her own would suggest she looked much older.

Yeah from what I can gather she was walking around Princes Street at that time. The police were asking her about a missing person's report they were investigating and at no point were concerned by her age or wellbeing. She then later met the guy in the taxi rank and went home with him.

All that tells us is that she was old enough looking for the police to not be concerned so we can assume she didn't look 12.

Still think it's weird even if she was 16 but obviously the guy was devastated to find out her real age and isn't your classic nonce. That's him fucked for life. Tough one.

You seem to think I'm justifying what has happened - I'm not.However, if she has lied about her age and looks old enough for the police to not question why she was out at half 1 up town then I can't help but have some sympathy with the guy.
