Murrayfield is an infinitely superior stadium in every possible comparable measure.

I like Murrayfield but I'm a man of strong traditional values so cup finals should always be at Hampden imo.

Murrayfield's tempting cos I can walk there, and it's got much better transport links. But Hampden feels more special somehow being further away.

But trying to get back from Hampden late at night when a game's gone to lots of added time and ending up running to the centre of Weegeland?

A football pitch is really dwarfed on the Murrayfield turf. There is the whole try area if not more before you get the front row of the fans.

In saying that, Hampden is an awful stadium so I'm not really too bothered. The game v England was utter scenes though. The atmosphere at Celtic Park v Ireland was class though, the surprise on the Irish faces in our end at the poisonous atmosphere.

It is a decent atmosphere (helped by being able to drink) but being rugby lacks real hostility.

For football, it'd be segregated and I have no doubts Murrayfield would be a cracking atmosphere full of football fans.
