Indoor multiplayer with the fouls turned off on FIFA is one of the most enjoyable things in gaming history.

Finished Far Cry 4 last night. I say “finished”, but there are still thousands of “go here, kill that” side quests and collectibles that I can't be arsed doing and collecting respectively. You can really see how they made the conscious decision to have the plot take a back seat compared to FC3, but I ended up hating pretty much every character in the game except Pagan Min.

Read that Fortnite made $300 million in a month. Most of it through aesthetic mods for your player that have no impact on the gameplay.

Is that not open source though?

Since fortnite has the unique building aspect they won't win it.  Not sure the engine pubg running on has anything to do with it though?

Funnily enough I remember hearing the pubg creator greeting about folk making battle Royales. He said he had no issues with folk taking the genre and putting their unique spin on it, he just hated blatant copies. Fortnite defo isn't a pubg copy.

It is sort of (think you have to pay royalties to them, which is where a lot of their cash comes from) but it's very much a case of biting the hand that feeds, isn't it? This has happened before in the past and Epic counter sued, causing the company to go bust

Sorry - does the company that own unreal engine make fortnite?

I suppose the department that makes games is different from the one who makes the engine but it is quite funny.

I can understand the frustration of PUBG that others are now excelling past them in a genre they recently made popular but that's their fault. They should've capitalised on their USP but instead released a broken game (didn't the same guy make dayZ?), folk got bored and moved on.
