Shrewsbury have always been a bigger club than Livingston, but he's passing up the chance to come against Brendan Rogers, Stevie Gerrard, Steve Clarke, Craig Levein (lol), Neil Lennon etc... in the top flight. A bit dumb really.

Derby's not a place to learn management - one team city, over high expectations. Unless he brings in a #2 who's in effect the #1 from whom he can learn the difference between seems-a-good-idea-from-the-outside and the-players-would-actually-buy-into-it-on-the-inside, then he prob won't get far into 2019. They're a 'promo or the manager goes' club just now.
Until/unless of course somebody were to so harm their squad and standing that they have to recalibrate expectation and start rebuilding from a mid-table at best position. ... Hmmm..Echoes of Hearts and Cathro?...

More similarities to Zidane at Marrid than Cathro at Hearts.
