Apparently he's going to Shrewsbury, which probably speaks more of Scottish Football than Hopkin's judgement.

Shrewsbury have always been a bigger club than Livingston, but he's passing up the chance to come against Brendan Rogers, Stevie Gerrard, Steve Clarke, Craig Levein (lol), Neil Lennon etc... in the top flight. A bit dumb really.

I suppose money talks.

Hopkins is going at the right time. Livi will get pumped rotten week in week out and his stock will plummet.

Livi must be absolute certs for the drop, Hamilton will probably struggle too but that Livingston squad is seriously devoid of quality.

Hopkin is wise to walk away before they go into free-fall.

They signed Craig Sibbald yesterday. Always thought he would have been a good 'project' for Hearts.

I feel for Livi because we keep snapping up all their realistic transfer targets.

I'm not convinced they'd have been chasing ICT second string players anyway tbh.

Warnock

Would be surprised if Neilson isn't in the mix for their new gaffer.

Think Lampard will end up doing alright at Derby :Jezza

As for Livi, looking forward to them ending up getting burst off every team except us next season.

Derby's not a place to learn management - one team city, over high expectations. Unless he brings in a #2 who's in effect the #1 from whom he can learn the difference between seems-a-good-idea-from-the-outside and the-players-would-actually-buy-into-it-on-the-inside, then he prob won't get far into 2019. They're a 'promo or the manager goes' club just now.

Until/unless of course somebody were to so harm their squad and standing that they have to recalibrate expectation and start rebuilding from a mid-table at best position. ... Hmmm..Echoes of Hearts and Cathro?... Tony Hmm

More similarities to Zidane at Marrid than Cathro at Hearts.

Also been linked with the Madrid job, so I guess it's the next best thing should he not get promoted. Monty Oh You

We should've signed him when we just come out the championship, I could be wrong but I'm sure they wanted about 800 grand for him.

He's obviously not kicked on so probably dodged a bullet.
