Bodyguard finale next Sunday, anyone else feel they have a lot to cram into a 1 hour episode?

Think it's an extended episode.

Not a patch on Line of Duty.

The bomb bits were good although I'm not entirely sure you would have a police officer shouting abuse at someone in a suicide vest in real life Warnock

Managed to get that vest off and evade about 20 armed police prett easily too.

Great viewing.

Though I really enjoyed it the thing did feel a bit rushed. Could easily have been a 10episode series.

Far too much went on in the last episode.

Enjoyed it Quite Good

Hope they leave it there tbh, wee bit rushed but came to a natural conclusion. Can't really see them managing to get a second series going without a pretty awkward start to it.

The boy that plays David Budd seems to be being heavily tipped as the next James Bond Trump Maybe

In hindsight I'd have loved to have been a fly on the wall at the Bodyguard pitch with Aunty execs. So much subliminal BBC right-on content in that series. So Disney really. Laugh Enjoyed it though.

There's more unanswered stuff than just that imo:
• Why was the inside man an inside man in the first place?
• Nadia seemed home and dry and free to commit more jihadi bomb stuff – why did she just confess Laugh
• Why did they not want Budd to kill himself? By that stage – the home secretary was already dead – he made the perfect fall guy then. Why not let him kill himself?
• The whole political conspiracy wasn't explained properly. Why were mi5 wanting the Home Seccy dead when she was about to give them loads more powers
Having had time to think it over more I am actually a bit meh about it. It was good TV to watch but the whole thing didn't end very well.

There were pretty big holes in the plot and some of the writing was a bit ridiculous. Laugh For entertainment and tension it was great. The train scene and the vest scene were edge of your seat stuff.

Budd defusing the bomb and then jumping a wall and getting away while the whole of the area was on Lockdown and helicopters were in the air was the most fucking stupid scene ever Laugh

They didn't know Budd was going to shoot himself - they filled it with blanks assuming he was going after them.

Agree on the Nadia thing, she was caught out rather than coming forward so it didn't make sense for her to tell them far more than they already knew. Just seemed to be a way of tieing up the plot quickly Laugh

Aye the ending was a bit pish I thought, shame as the series was really good.

How can they just leave it there for no series 2 after the escape scene Laugh

There will probably be a series 2 and I think that'll be it. Can't see something like this becoming a 3/4 series thing.

The opening scene, on the train, was it pure coincidence that Nadia was there in that carriage, or was she placed there by the  Mi5 handler (?), the train guard?
Anyway, white middle-aged power (mainly men but also women who act like men) is evil is the message and it wasn't even subtle. Laugh  Sound

I was Zlat at some of the scenes in this episode. Monty Oh Well
