This can't be right. Are teachers not entitled to protection from assault in their place of work?
The council have really fucked up here IMO. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-edi...e-46047517

Teachers teaching pupils with special needs should be trained to deal with this. I've worked in this environment as a trained psych nurse with extra (and once a year) courses on aggression / aggression management, breakaway techniques. And this was in a private hospital for children in London. I cant even imagine the lack of training these teachers have had. I'm sure the news would have picked up on this. Its an extremely difficult environment for teachers to work in and i absolutely respect their decision not to work in it.

Most of them are in their 40s and 50s. Weirdos.

Genuinely so bizarre.
I get burning effigies of politicians etc but to do one of Grenfell is just beyond ridiculous. What will never stop amazing me is people filming themselves doing really stupid/illegal things and sharing it online/WhatsApp. What's the criminality sitch, Acey/Morph? Is it a hate crime of some description or a 'fear & alarm' breach of the peace?

Just name and shame and watch their life go tits up. That's probably enough.
I get the whole edgy thing and any comedy is fair game, but I've genuinely never even heard a joke about Grenfell, it is just too horrific. What a strange thing to do and enjoy.

Probably losing their jobs and definitely being hounded by thousands of people online and in the street is more than enough. It's a thoughtless, callous and, ultimately, deeply unfunny act. I don't know what the penalty is, but relevant community service should suffice. |
