Tons of Lurchers on that site. I've noticed that on a few rescue sites actually. Just because they need a lot of exercise and owners can't be bothered with it?

I know pretty much all the rescue dogs in the central belt and borders by heart; looking at them has become a weekly thing for me. My favourite is big Sarge

Have you looked at trailhounds? Great dogs that get discarded by the welly boot brigade when they lose a bit of pace or can't take part for whatever reason.

They definitely need a solid three walks a day, but pure sighthounds love sleeping, and Lurchers tend to be similar.
depends on the cross but I imagine most need mental stimulation as well though, as it's a working dog crossed in with the sighthound.
