Old foggies don't retire at 65 anymore? I know you can opt to work on but thought you were entitled to a state pension at 65.

They still get their pension but they can choose to work on and employers can't punt them

The date you get your state pension is dependent on the year you were born now, it's no longer just a blanket 65 sadly.

I was working offshore with a rigger in October who was 70. Absolutely no danger he should have been out there at that age, the young boy working with him had to carry him for the three week trip!
