Levein played him week in week out as his project; other players have been thrown out the club for less.

Anyway, I think it can be coached to an extent. Yeah a lot of it falls on the player but you have to wonder what is being said when conversations are had with these guys. What's been said? It's clearly not been laid on the line that he needs to show more desire or he's out the door.

Levein turns up on a Thursday FFS, how can he not be blamed for players attitudes? Levein also hammers any flair out of players as they have to fit into rigid roles and if they step out them and make a mistake they will be out the door. It seems to be if you “work hard” within levein's rigid Idea of what to do, then you're fine. Does he speak to them about the rest?

It's like Olly Lee, part of his problem is speed and fitness, I think he's not as fit as he could be, and so he's always seeming to be on his heels. I don't see any sign that's been worked on through the season and if anything it has got worse.

tbh, I thought he arrived as a RB? You have to keep him in the final third, otherwise he'll lose the ball in dangerous areas - but he's not good enough to be striker and certainly nowhere near enough to be some floating, free role player.

The last couple of Hearts games I attended I watched him for a good minute or two player cam style, as well as Olly Lee (feel embarrassed af admitting that ).

When we'd have possession there was no movement into space or offering themselves for a pass, or getting up to support the wingers or strikers. Their favourite things were placing themselves directly behind an opposition player so they would be unavailable for a pass - to the extent where if they had remained static they'd have been open to receive a pass.

Given how much Levein loves attacking players tracking back I'm stunned he lets Clare away with leaving our full backs repeatedly exposed when he's out wide.
