Tonnes of folk on twitter coming out with the "16-17 year olds  - too young to vote" patter.

They must feel like bitter, old codgers typing that out. As the dummies who actually choose to interact with these folk point out, you are old enough to go to war, work, have a child and get married but not old enough to tick a box in a booth regarding their own future on the aforementioned topics.

Labour should run with this and frame any GE as Young Vs Old. The people of tomorrow against the people of yesterday. No one wants to identify themselves as behind the times or over the hill, so it may convince a few to side with the young.

Folk saying it would take too long to get them on the electoral roll.

Of course, we can whip up a full EU brexit deal in a matter of days, but we can't hire extra admin to process Electoral roll applications online.

Also something about amemdent wouldn't go through in time for a Dec election....but of course we can design a full brexit deal and pass a withdrawal agreement within a few days.
