That makes sense I suppose.

Would it not be that folk who, say, really wanted a Cinnabun and couldn't find one reduced would then pay full price? And if you only sold one of those instead of three reduced the company makes more? Rather than being tax.

Also, Cinnabuns are fucking unreal only tried them a couple of months ago from Tesco and they're so good.

No idea really, I'm just taking a wild guess. There's no danger the arseholes that used to crowd round the reduced trolley like the walking dead would buy anything at full price if what they fancied wasn't there though.

When I was on, anything that was decent that was going to get reduced would be "taken" before it could reach the trolley anyway so they were only left with all the shite.

Love that the general musings thread is inevitably going to degenerate in to a "how long after you bought a curry is it acceptable to eat it?" thread.

What are these cinnabuns? There is a place at buchanan galleries which does cinnamon pretzels which are pretty amazing, so interested to hear more about cinnabuns tbh.

Don't know about other shops but the tesco ones are bangin. Its like cream cheese icing or something like that, soft pastry and cinnamon jam. Everything is so balanced, not too dry and not over iced. Dank as fuck m9

Sounds pretty dank m80.

Some home baked cup cakes in our office today. Have been holding off but they look immense. Going to have one with a coffee just now. Pinilla

When you're walking past a Greggs after work, and they have fucking loads of food in a big bag on the shop floor, is that just going to be binned, then?

Also, speaking of reduced food, has anyone ever found anything worth taking from the Tesco chilled "reduced" bit? It's always bags of salad for 80p or random bits of lamb for >£3, which is way above the reasonable impulse-meat-purchase threshold.

Absolutely. They don't even appreciate it when I try to cite Jacques Derrida to them. They're alive, but are they really living?

Appreciation is a wonderful thing, Mak. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.
