I always thought Palazuelos was a cracking midfielder.

Not to mention Goncalves at the back...

Think they just made it into the 2010's?

Was never a fan of Palazuelos tbh; he seemed to look good by playing others into trouble, and only scored once for us (last minute sclaff v Motherwell at home iirc). Was also not a huge fan of Aguiar, always thought he was a bit of a luxury player  Eek

Was Karipidis post-2010? He was excellent as a DM. Good shout for The Shepherd too. It's actually quite hard picking a central midfield pairing since we've been shite there since Hartley left. Would probably give it to Gomis and Buaben on the basis they won us the Championship and established us back in the top league. Would swap Buaben for Black on the proviso it was Mr Sergio-era Black.

Edit: Keeper has to be Kello. Hope we haven't forgotten how good he was Pinilla

Pallardo was better than Buaben that season, Gomis has to be in there though. I know we were in the Championship but the way he patrolled and strolled that midfield was a joy.

Would need to remind myself what players actually played about 2010-2012 to decide on a proper team. Only certainties are Kello, Zal and Funk though.

Palazuelos scored a volley to equalise at Ibrox.

Once at Falkirk as well. I was absolutely buckled at that game, and gave him a bearhug when he went to celebrate in front of us - probably contributing to him getting booked Warnock

Palazuelos, what amazing technique, great technique. Love watching his technique. So technical - guy just oozes technique.

Black prior to Sergio went from being okay in some games, less effective in others but was just drifting his Hearts career along.

I guess the impact on Black by Sergio is what will be the interesting to see the new manager influence and who.

Good coaches/managers make some players better.

Palazuelos had a great knack of finding himself in no man's land anytime the opposition would break. Loved a sideways pass too.

I actually thought Palazuelos was better during his stint at left back than he was in the midfield.

Palazuelos was pish and pulled the wool over a lot of peoples eyes somehow. Hertz fans are obsessed with water carrier defensive mids for some reason Warnock

Did nothing but play others into trouble.

Hekens

Standard stuff was to do a wee turn on the ball, then go nowhere, play a sideways pass, or lose possession. Dire.

IIRC this was partially caused by the fact he couldn't/wouldn't use his right foot.

Palazuelos may have failed to contribute anything of note beyond turning back on himself several times and passing another player into trouble, but what technique he did it with.

I liked Audrius Kšanavičius. Always wanted to run at the defence.

If he wasnt a footballer, i can imagine him with a 80s leather jacket with sheep's wool inside collar, navy blue jeans and sand coloured boots with a Kalishnakov, firing indiscriminately at families in Chechnya.
