Just saw these wee tents when I was checking the headlines and thought they were a great idea. Why the fuck haven't we paid a few farmers and chucked a few thousand tents up across the country to keep infected patients away from hospitals? The Chinese managed to build a hospital in a week; we've had three months and haven't so much as fitted our frontline staff for masks and suits.

I wonder if there'll ever be the capacity to press charges against the decision-makers throughout this (Cummings and Johnson) with negligence or dereliction of duty. They've wilfully ignored a global pandemic heading our way, and the unnecessary deaths of thousands are on their hands because of their inactivity.

At the start of this, China forced all citizens to wear face masks and spot checked temperatures, then locked the entire population down.

It's taken until this week for them to say they've got on top of the spread and starting to remove restrictions.

Makes me think that with none of these restrictions/conditions in place here, this is going to go on for months instead of weeks.

Have the UK gvt started taking hotels in major cities so they can put patients in there yet?  Edinburgh must have some of the best access to individual rooms in the entire country due to the amount of hotels.

We don't seem to have made any extra hospital space either mind other than maximising the space in our current hospitals.  I actually think it would take us longer to erect a field hospital tent than it would China to build a multi story fully equipped hospital  Was it a week they managed it in?

I can see cases/death rates starting to double each day this week - come this time next week, I'm predicting we'll have been ordered to remain indoors.
