Cochrane is still only 19, he'll come good. Craig Gordon was only 19 when we sent him away to Cowdenbeath and look how he turned out.

Big difference is a keeper typically makes the breakthrough far later. And Harry has already flopped on one loan spell.

If he fails at Montrose that'll be the end of him at Hearts.

Hope he spends the time eating everything he can and in the gym daily because he seriously needs it.

We also punted Robbie Neilson to Cowdenbeath on loan at that age. Everyone thought he was incredibly slow and his passing was wayward but we all know what happened there.

No if we extend his contract it won't be.

Andy Irving was a flop at every team he was on loan at and seems to have come back and done alright, despite my arguments to the contrary. I'm sure Cochrane will do fine either way.

Cochrane could easily get battered around in that league. Loans are not always an indicator of whether they can make it at that age.

Shankland had up and down loan spells while at Aberdeen, but when he moved at 21-22 it all clicked and he probably bulked up etc...

Cochrane still looks like a wee lassie. He CAN play though. Surely that can't be denied?

Ignore what I said above. Apparently Shankland was banging them in for Queens Park first team back in 2012.  Warnock  Then signed for Aberdeen.

He must've been a literal child then. Always thought Shankland was an Aberdeen youth product.

Seven years ago today GodIsGod

Took the day off work and headed through to Edinburgh early doors to meet up with Beats for a few light refreshments. FuckMe

Ended up absolutely blazing, and had three attempts to get into the ground before finally getting in after being knocked back by the stewards the previous two attempts for being too drunk. Warnock

Remember waking up the next morning with a beezer of a hangover, so walked up to the shops for a paper and some rolls, went into my wallet to pay and clocked a crumpled Ladbrokes slip, took it out and I'd only stuck a fiver on Stevenson 1-0 Hearts. Dismay

Had a flashback to the night before when I'd come out of Middleton's to give my mate his ticket and then not getting back in for being too drunk and going to the bookies to wait on Beats coming out. Had no recollection of actually putting the bet on, but I certainly remember collecting my winnings. Shitwine

Nah, I caught the train back to Glasgow and managed to get in an argument with some Hibs fans that ended up with the cops chucking them off the train and not me. Warnock

Probably the drunkest I've been at a game in years, but all worth it. jjay
