I think this is pathetic from the SNP woman.  I think it's fair to call it out for being unprofessional and fair if she doesn't want to accept his apology but how the fuck has she made the leap to being some sort of victim of sexist abuse on the back of someone muttering “fuck off” at her.

Do things like this not just turn people off from actually calling out legitimate sexism and undermine actual real victims of violence and abuse?

I would say “fuck you” is more aggressive than “fuck off”, and both the use of it and blaming her in his non-apology are unacceptable. Would he have done either to a male colleague? I don't know, but if I was betting on it, probably not - the 'apology' does have the whiff of misogyny about it, for me. Even if it isn't, it's unbelievably stupid

Some folks need a good telling off once in a while.  

I'll tell you a story of a dad and son on a sunday outing.  The young lad had only just turned five, and was a wee bit excited as they strolled through a huge curvy dark brown iron plates display at the Guggenheim in Bilbao. The giant colourful skull on display immedaitely before particulary got the juices flowing. While not particularly loud the two were testing out the phenomenal acoustics created by these plates, plates you'd associate with the great shipbuilding yards of the past.  

Anyway, as they turned one of the corners they were met by a woman in her mid to late 30s, probably, who glared in their direction. The wee boy made another wee sound looking for an echo, which prompted the woman to remove her headset, and in an Aussie accent   direct a well aimed diatribe about spoiling her experience.  The dad looking somewhat aghast paused then mouthed a silent retort.  Alas, this riled the antipodean to demand what had been said.  The dad replied that nothing had acutally been said but that she 'Had heard him'!  But no she wasn't having it so the dad, putting his hand on his son's head told her that he had indeed mouthed 'Fuck you!'. and then added 'And mind your own business you stupid bint'.

As they walked on a torrent of abuse hit their bothered! backs.  

the point is that some folks are just cunts, simply because they're cunts!

The black death lead to an imbalance in labour relations that very briefly allowed workers a minor improvement in what they could demand for their labour. But within a decade the statutes and ordinances of labourers prescribed wickedly low wages for labouring classes, restricted movement to the point of something akin to serfdom and even went so far as to regulate what clothes the peasantry could wear.

The only way you could interpret that "thankfully" as anything other than patrican viciousness, is to believe it's better than workers don't get too much power as to do so would only lead to greater vengance from the establishment. But it's just patrician viciousness.

Anyone keeping up with the stuff coming out of the Grenfell inquiry? Mental that it's not front page news - Arconic (who manufactured the cladding) deliberately suppressed their own H&S investigation finding that it was flammable, and as I understand it they might not actually have broken any laws in doing so
