The Chinese will do anything to get anyone who isn't Chinese into the national team. Was also reading about him earlier though and it's a good story. Don't know how good the standard is at uni level in the US but sounds like a great experience for the lad.

Apparently was the captain for Scotland V England in the victory shield at youth level but was only offered a one year deal because Levein thought he was too small. Told him to ram it and went to the states.

It's the old he must be world class at interviews adage with Martinez.
I suppose Spurs are shite and probably need to replace well over half of their starting line up so maybe it's not that attractive a gig for a manager. Going for someone like Martinez is probably an indicator that Levy isn't planning on splashing much cash to fix it.
