Don't remember him doing that much at all tbh. I remember him at least trying to play defence splitting passes through middle when he was in the middle or final third. Don't remember him pinging it to the wing sideways. He was always trying to cut it through the middle.

You getting confused with another player? His mid-range to long-range passing was his best attribute by a distance.

Really don't remember these cross-field wing balls you describe. If he did that then he probably pulled it off more often than not because he had a decent, accurate ping on him.

Always struck me as a slow Mikey Stewart, he wasn't missed when he left.

Difference is Irving was like 19/20 years old, taking a bit of responsibility like Mikey Stewart in the middle of the park of a shit team for us.

No excuse to be that slow at 19 like, but not his fault really.

He had good vision and technique but he was really slow. Think it's far to say he had decent potential.

Made his choice and tbh he probably wouldn't have had many minutes this season either with the players we've signed. If a Livi or something pick him up he could have a decent career.

I find it really sad the way folk think they are cool trying to go through our youth players who tried or did do a turn for us. Pretty consistent feature on here.

I liked him and would have probably happily taken him back as a squad player at the start of the season. We've signed far better now though.

He'll rock up in the championship for Hamilton or Partick.

He was a lot better and will have a much better career in the game than the likes of Cockring and Macdonald who were hyped up but were nowhere near it in the mans game.

There were a few good deliveries he fired in from set pieces last year which we could have done with at times this season. If he'd have stayed around game time would have been very limited for him tbf.
