See a PGA golfer withdrew on the 16th hole on Friday 1 shot off the cut line due to illness. Went back to his hotel and took his own life. Absolutely brutal.

I hadn't seen anything confirmed as to what happened but it would appear it was suicide.

The PGA tweeted a statement from his parents confirming he killed himself. Must’ve been in a really rough place and I had read he had been struggling with sobriety.
They had offered to suspend the competition too but his parents asked them to carry on. |
