The Pep effect is the problem, too many coaches wanting to copy him and boring the tits off everyone.

South America league football is good, tbf. Cunts banjoing each other on a regular basis, rampant corruption, dugs invading the pitch.

Who will people talk about once Ronaldo and Messi retire? Callum Morrison?

Mbappe and Haaland will be the mainstream goat debate of the current gen whilst the hipsters argue it's between Musiala and Bellingham.
If they played less domestic games you'd only see the borefest ramped uo even more as they'd simply be better at carrying out the coaches' instructions. They're all just too fit and athletic now, and with like 100 subs allowed coach is (well competent ones unlike the dick we have) just subbing in more athletes who headless chicken run 'his areas/channels'. Sacriledge I know but probably need to drop the number of players down to ten.
Mikey is right though, been watching a bit of the Copa, and while Colombia are football entertaining, and again teh diddy teams like Canada and Panama at least had a go playing high intentsity vertical football, generally the big boys are possession based. The refereeing, as in past tourneys is tip top as they're usually fully on board with any thuggery the teams want to indulge in. The Uruguay-Brazil match was a throwback to the good old days where regular fouls (just a fk given) would be min yellow and VAR check poss red in Europe. Uruguay were attempting infanticide on Endrick throughout and what's funny is that his teammates didn't really seem that bothered. Boy must be a grade A 1 arsehole. Golden boots, aye right son!!

The subs thing has had a huge impact on games.
It's almost like the game plan is try and grind teams down through possession for the first 75 minutes and then we'll make a number of changes to try and look at winning the game.

Right, so, how many players are Spain actually missing for the game against against France tomorrow?
Tam Cowan is saying it will be a France - England final, and i'm trying to figure out how he's come to that conclusion.

It probably will be. Morata is out which I actually think is a big loss as they won't play a 9 now they'll play without a recognised striker.
Carvajal and pedri are out anaw. I think France and England will shithouse their way through and play out the worst final ever probably capped off by they English cunts winning on penalties to cap off the worst football tournament in history.

Neither France or England have got out of 1st gear, so i suppose it makes sense.
I'm still finding it hard to see how they will suddenly start playing football though.

Spain will win. They’re the ultimate System Team, so it doesn’t matter who they have playing in any given position. Believe.
07-08-2024, 10:00 PM
They’ll probably play Ferran Torres up top with Joselu as an option from the bench

Morata isn’t suspended that was a uefa fuck up when the showed he had been booked.
Think it’s got pens written all over it: The Dutch are a wee step up from the Swiss for England and you feel the players they have up top will be a bit more clinical. England have to turn up at some point though. You’d think if Southgate drops fat Harry then they might look an even better side.
07-09-2024, 08:25 AM
There's absolutely no chance they'll drop Kane like.

Holland looked great against Romania but they also looked shite against us for 75 minutes. Don't trust them.
Spain should win tonight but the French are effective, hope it's a decent game but not getting my hopes up.

The ref for the England game was done for match fixing in 2005 and Bellingham had a go at him a couple of years ago after a Dortmund game so they've got a ready made excuse if anything goes wrong for them.

How is that guy refereeing a major tournament semi final though
07-09-2024, 02:03 PM
To bam up the English

Get the game on, 8pm is a nonsense.
