My wedding band was about £50 and looked the double of my mate who spent about £500 on his the daft cunt.
Mines was a cheap one because at the time I couldn’t wear mine at work so was pointless spending a fortune. Her wedding band was about a grand IIRC. Her engagement ring was about 2 grand.
I felt like a cheapskate spending the above when I heard what others had spent on their partners engagement rings. Ridiculous.

I spent about £90 on her engagement ring as a placeholder and she said that one was brilliant and didn’t want to get anything more expensive
She said if I went out and spent money on a 2 grand ring she’d split up with me.
In fairness we are allocating about 90% of the budget to the honeymoon I’ve seen 18ct gold bands for about £450. That’ll do I think, happy to spend a wee bit but don’t want to go silly. You go on some websites and they start at about £1k

Fucking scandalous prices for a gold band
£800 for mine and £200 for hers. More metal on the males ring was their reasoning. I went with Palladium because it’s very hard wearing but I’m sure you could just go gold or white gold if you’re just sitting tapping a keyboard all day.
I paid 1.4k for her engagement ring and was the first person to use the jewellers finance service

Yeah mines palladium for the same reason. Can’t remember what I paid for any of the rings now. Been nearly 14 years
Got her engagement ring in Thailand, she traded in her old engagement ring from her ex to go towards it so got a decent deal there
I had to fly home earlier for work and she’s done a Facebook post dumping a load of photos when I was travelling and one of the ring was in there so I’ve got into Edinburgh and my phones exploded with notifications with people asking me what the fucks happening
