Naismith has made an absolute cunt of things.

Now emergency loaning out all our talented young players as there is no space in the squad, while we are stuck with bang average players who have no connection to the hearts

There is absolutely no reason for Tait not to be in the first team squad let alone loaned out

Him and Boateng would be a great pairing

It's all very similar to Neilson's season with group stage football. we've bloated the squad without much planning (or quality by the looks of it) and the young guys are the ones who suffer. Guys like Boyce and that other diddy striker we signed in the way for Wilson who is meant to be a big talent. Off you go to Arbroath.

Some loans are necessary before Morph chirps up (like Neilson) but don't like it when mediocre senior players are preventing youngsters getting a shot.

Naismith has run back his youth policy very quickly.

I think Lewis Neilson will benefit from the St Johnstone loan alot, but looking at the condition of Halkett, Kingsley and Oyeke, we were wrong and Morph was right. We are so bad right now that he would get games here.

As an aside, I've seen Kirk twice for St Johnstone and he is sharp as fuck. Not saying he had the quality to be Hearts great, but he looks ideal to come off the bench and run about for the last 20 mins, plus he can finish. Was prob on 100 quid a week.

Oh well.

No idea what Tait has done to be banished from the first team. Looked good as a holding mid in the last half hour of games for more than half a season, and looked like making a breakthrough if given a proper chance. Even Denholm was getting a handful of starts last season.

A spot has opened up with Beni and Hoff being injured, and now Naismith decides to go with Spittal out of position, a decision he admitted had damaged Spittal's confidence in pre-season. So weird.

Kirk was absolutely banging in the goals for the B’s, I’m sure he was on something like 20+ goals.

Whether he was “ready” or not who knows but if you’re scoring that many and we’ve got one striker who’s knackered there’s a massive problem if you can’t find 3/4 opportunities at tynecastle there for him.

Our attitude towards youth is a disgrace tbqh - pretty sure I said when neilson went out on loan you’d be seeing the same with Tait and Pollock shortly. It’s a completely pointless formula that doesn’t work, I can see goalkeepers having to go down that route but it’s pathetic there’s apparently no room for guys like Tait and Neilson in this squad.

Wilson made a big mistake signing on for hearts when he had big interest down south, should’ve gone for it. Certain he was told there would be first team opportunities there for him so where are they and why have we signed drammeh?

Crazy that Kirk didn't even get a run out when we were coasting in 3rd. He did enough to get an appearance or two to least say that he once played for Hearts. Anyone that scores 30 goals in reserves deserves a few mins on the main stage.

Fannies man.

The issue is as well these players finally do get their opportunity but when they don’t hit the ground running they’re criticised to fuck and out the squad as quick as they were in.

Honestly think if a player is showing ability get them in the squad at 18/19, get them familiar with the team, the level they’re expected to be at by the time they’re 22/23 and get them creating relationships with the plers they’ll likely to partner. Tait and boateng for example could be a realistic midfield pairing, neilson and Rowles/kent, Wilson and Vargas etc.

A big problem we have is plers looking off it physically but that’s the beauty of having the B team - I don’t think they need farmed off to an alloa or that you rarely get anything from it and it’s not a model we can point to and say we’ve benefitted from.

The only player we’ve brought through recently is hickey, who was dropped into our lap and got game time through injury. If we weren’t in an injury crisis I don’t think he would’ve been on the radar and he was ready to play at 16/17.

Can't loan them all out, we need 4 to be involved in Europe.

Kirk completely failed at Hamilton Accies. There has to be some sort of standards for a young player to get into the team.

A barrel load of goals as a striker would be a good one.

8 appearances for Hamilton “completely failed” Heh

17 goals in 26 in the lowland at 18, 26 in 20 at 19. How is that not worth a run when the league is tied up Laugh

He scored goals in what is essentially a semi pro league. Got his chance to prove it at a higher level and couldn't break into their side. I'm not seeing how that = deserves a chance for Hearts.

The best youth players need more of a chance but he is quite clearly a Gary Glen/Gary Oliver type.

Was Harry stone a failure at Patrick thistle when he got 2 opportunities to play because their keeper went on a good run of form and he got relegated to sitting on the bench? You can’t say that about a 19 year old after 8 games.

This idea you get a handful of games to show something and if not you’re a failure never to get back in the team is entirely the problem Laugh You and your types are the issue, fuck you. Greggy

152 minutes he got over 8 games btw Heh

Tait has had far more than 152 minutes at a higher level and can’t break into the team so by Alan’s standards he’s a complete failure Monty Oh Well

Morph, engage your brain and ask yourself why he got so few minutes man Laugh

We'll keep an eye on how many goals he scores this season. £20 charity bet it's less than 5?

They've clearly decided Wilson is a better prospect than Kirk, he's spat the dummy and his old man and Levein have came calling.

I'm doubtful he'll really do much but he should have really got more of a chance.

Do think the B team nonsense is more trouble than it's worth.

Do you have any evidence of him spitting the dummy? I really don't like the way we denigrate our academy players.

Are you sure he didn't just say thank you to Hearts for his time there and move on? I'm going to need some evidence that Kirk was a egotistical bad egg.

Irving got the same treatment when he dared to ask for a couple more hundred pounds per week. Spat the dummy, scum, thinks he's better than he is etc..etc..

Kirk is 20 year old bro. Shankland was unemployed applying for PT jobs at PureGym at that age. Calm down eh.
