We find out who were playing but don't find out where/when until tomorrow, they're doing a second draw to put groups in certain regions depending on who's in what group so people can watch their games. Hopefully means we won't end up on the west coast with games in the middle of the night.

I done none of the spade work as you can probably imagine, one of the guys went to an estate agents and sorted it all out, the initial deposit was only 100+ quid per person then it was 1600 a person if we were to go through with it.

West Coast isn’t great. The internal flights regardless is going to be a fortune.

From a spectator pov I can't see this being anything other than a fiasco. The prices are eye watering then there's the amount of travel involved over such a massive area and all the trip hazards with US customs, etc. there's talk of Scotland getting maybe 5k tickets for each game?

The worry is there are far too many games and diddy teams for the yanks to sell all their tickets, especially at the prices they’re charging. Any teams that look like they’ll bring (/Trump allows to bring) a big travelling support will probably get papped off to the shite US cities to fill the stands

Either that or they’ll just fix it and say Scotland are playing in Canada, the Irish teams in Boston if they get there, all the Latinos in Mexico etc to get the locals involved.

That's where I scored in Germany as I was able to get briefs for all the games at a reasonable price but I can see that being a lot harder to do this time around.

There’s still that carrot dangling that trump moves the games down the line too.

He has been threatening to remove games from dem cities and infantino wasn’t shutting it down, depending what mood he’s in between now and the summer I could see that being a thing. You’re likely going to be fine with NY, I’d be very surprised if the final was to be moved but I could see him being arsey with any other cities that piss him off.

I’m delighted Scotland have made it in the end but every year the World Cup finds a way to be even more farcical. You really need the big nations to start putting pressure to bring this down a peg and be more accessible for fans. I can’t imagine the big South American nations are particularly buzzing about it either. Theres going to be certain countries where the people face massive risk from border control/ICE etc after spending a fortune it’s just feels like a bit of a nightmare waiting to happen and FIFA only appear to be wanting to keep the American govt happy. Bizarrely I see the Saudi Arabian World Cup being more accessible for the average person in terms of price and travel to the country.


Actually just thinking there no idea if the co hosts will play outwith their country in the groups but you probably wouldn’t bank on Mexican fans travelling to America without some sort of controversy.
