Pink ladies win out. All other apples in the tesco by my work are 40p each or 3 for £1. Pink ladies clock in at 60p (and rightly so).

What you gotta do, see, is scan one apple - a braeburn is my choice - 3 times and lay down two pink ladies and the original. Even if you chuck the braeburn, and why would you, they're tremendous, you're still 20p up.

Worked with a boy in a supermarket years ago, who got caught weighing a slice of deli ham as grapes and then helping himself to the biggest bag of seedless he could get his hands on, paying 10p or whatever for the privilege - about as jakey as it gets
