It's hardly teething problems. The motorway isn't going to grow another few lanes for them to suddenly accommodate the traffic. The issue is there is a ridiculous amount of traffic commuting to and from Fife each day with no overflow to help with accidents, breakdowns, folk trying to jump off.
They've have been better setting up something at Kirkcaldy to Leith and looking at infrastructure around Kincardine rather than trying to get the traffic from all of Fife through one area with no real capacity for it.
There is no doubt there is extra people trying it today but the tailbacks are about 4-5 miles on both sides which to me doesn't suggest longer term it will show any real improvement (other than maybe not falling down if they built it properly - seems unlikely based on previous).
