What did he actually do as DoF? Seems like he's hiding behind a claim that the boys coming through are going to be the golden generation. He's just washing his hands of anything to do with the first team

Was he not meant to be there to help the coach as well? Did he ever think, when Cathro was asking for garbage players and an unbalanced squad that he could offer some advice?

Or even better - Levein is meant to be an experienced football coach, surely he can coach something other than 4-4-2!?
