The way Ireland are allowed to come in at the side without getting penalised by every single ref is fucking infuriating. They've got their own fucking laws. Murray and Sexton on first name terms with the ref and in full blown discussion with him constantly. Peter Horne moans at a harsh penalty and gets a warning and told to speak to his captain

What we might call "developing a rapport with the ref" is what every very good or great side does. Scotland are only just emerging, so they've not done so yet.

Shades of the first game against Wales. Good in the opening stages, sloppy with good chances and now racking up penalties.

We need to sort out away form out.

Away wins are always at a premium in this tournament though. Only special sides can go to Paris, Dublin and Twickenham confident of victory. But that said...

We are just awful. How can Scotland, with a fraction of the player pool we have, play such ambitious stuff while we are so one-dimensional all the time?

After the Scotland game, Eddie Jones said we're not athletic enough to do anything else. If I were the RFU, I'd have sacked him on the spot for that. Because he was hired to come close to or win the World Cup - and he plainly doesn't believe it's possible.

A second successive first round exit might be on the cards if this nonsense continues.
