Excellent news and an exciting appointment. A man with no prior connection to the club whatsoever. He's exactly what we all wanted.
He's definitely going to have his work cut out and has to be allowed to work as his own man without the influence of Levein, MacPhee or any other of the currently employed charlatans. Budge absolutely has to back gim in January if he requires reinforcements.
A huge task ahead with the following realistic priorities:
1) drag us away from this relegation zone mess.
2) achieve top six
3) catch hibs
4) run in the cup
They may not all be achievable but this season is such a mess (and pretty much a write off already) that he deserves time and limited expectations of him so early on.
Get to summer, clear out the deadwood and start again.
He's got a tough remainder of December with five games - two against relegarion rivals St Johnstone and Hamilton and three against our big rivals Hibs, Celtic and Aberdeen. Hopefully this will give us a boost for next weekends game.
