What neilson was doing with us was similar to what mcinnes done with all Aberdeen albeit over a shorter period.
Mcinnes didn’t have Aberdeen punching above their weight playing really attractive football and got sacked in similar circumstances where he slipped down a few positions and style of play was criticised. Mcinnes had Aberdeen where they should’ve been most seasons. There are a lot of parallels between neilson and mcinnes, mcinnes just had much more longevity.
A better Neilson is quite apt for mcinnes but I don’t think that’s a criticism at all.
