Gutted that another young prospect will leave us before we even see them in the first team.

Supposedly now one of the most sought after youngsters going. Arsenal. Chelsea. Leeds. Fulham. Palace. Most top clubs in England and a lot of big names across Europe.

He's 18 in July. If he's THAT good, could we not move him into the first team squad 26-27? He might not start but even on the bench and getting a few sub appearances. Surely a contract and first team squad place and he's seeing some real action rather than disappearing into the obscurity of an Arsenal or Chelsea youth system? And give us the chance to get some benefit of his ability and then sell him at a decent price.

I've lost count now of the youngsters we're losing. There' was a CH to Everton. That MF to Man City. Another being tracked by Southampton. And Osborne. 4 or 5 like that coming through together if we held onto them could be the spine of our first team, again, if they're THAT good.

Aye son, turn down the opperchancity of a lifetime to go to one if these mega clubs, for 10x the salary, for 1k a week tops and a few sub appearance



Our record blooding youths isn't the best lately. You can't deny these kids the chance to go south. More money, better coaching (light years better coaching than Shelly fucking Kerr ) better training facilities, dieting and nutrition etc. It's just a different level. If they fail down there, they can drop to League 1 etc, or always come back up the road. If they fail at Hertz, next stop Raith on 500 per week tops then East Fife, then Tranent or suhin.

No youngster is going to be turning down the Premier League, aye even the youth teams / reserves.

Look at the 2 most recent examples. Leonard, goes south. Success, relatively. Wilson, sticks about to play, doesn't, goes south on a weird loan type thing, back up the road having to restart from fresh again. Leonard will get a Championship team down south next season I'd reckon pretty easily, Wilson? Back up CF? 3rd choice? Loaned to Arbroath / Raith or suhin

No brainer for these kids to go south unfortunately, I wish it wernt so, bit it is

Something that needs to change as we are grouped with England after Brexit so they can take young Jocks for pittance but they can't take the best young Spaniards etc cause rules, but we are a separate footballing nation and this needs stopped now as they are taking every young Jock worth a fuck from everywhere
