Am I going mad? It wasn’t a 3 year deal and there was no clauses.
It’s been revealed it was a one year deal with a 2 year option. The fans (who own the club) were lied to and told it was a 3 year deal.
We were all preparing for Shankland to either stay or for Rangers to make a 4-5 million bid for him ( or him to bang them in at the WC and attract more interest). Instead he swans out the door on a free.
Can folk stop saying he had a ‘rat clause’
that was what we initially thought because we were so in the dark/lied to about the contract.
You can’t bullshit the fans on basic financial things, the Bduge era really ripped the arse out of that ‘fan owned not fan run’ mantra, it better stop, moving forward. We had to endure Levein for 5 years and relegations because of the lack of accountability from those ‘running’ the show. I thought we were done after the Critchley debacle, but there’s still a hangover of senior staff doing what the fuck they want.
