I've now seen two video highlights and the older one back to 2023 is a bit more impressive. He has a Lukaku style through the middle of being a good 'bum' player holding off the defender, rolling him and running in on goal. He also looked quicker in this video than the other, not sure if he's bulked up and that's in turn slowed him down. But he looks pacey and able to run the channels well. And his passes and link up play all looked good too, he seems to have good awareness. His first touch and control and ability to move with the ball at pace and retain composure looks good.
I think given it's only 200k, he looks like he offers something that'll worry both opposition full backs and centre halves alike. Nobody likes this kind of power, pace and control running at them.
My two main concerns.
1. That's two highlights reels and I've not seen a single header. I'll say again just because he's 6ft3 and has a powerful frame, I don't think this is any kind of traditional no9 aerial CF we've got. If Del wants that, we're still in need. I don't think Kabore is that either.
2. It's been said already that finishing isn't his thing. The second video broke down his attributes and showed highlights of Dribbling, Passing, Assists. When it got to Finishing and showed highlights, he missed the first 4.
I like what we seem to have got for minimal outlay and assume he'll be a bit of a chaos option from the bench. But really don't see him being a starter for us. He doesn't look like he'll do the high press like Braga. But away to St Mirren and it's 0 0 with 20 mins left, yeah, why not.
