Richard gadd deliberately blurred the lines on this imo. He tried to claim it wasn’t a true story and it was a heavily fictionalised version of real events but turns out it was to the point he had word for word copied the text messages she had sent and the character was her spitting image.

She was meant to be taking gadd/Netflix to court over it, there was chat that he might’ve fucked it and she actually did have a case
