Maybe it's because I'm a modern man wee sissy, but I can't even understand the decision to build it yourself from scratch, never mind knowing how to actually do it.

After years of feeling ashamed at my lack of grammar and basic English it's nice to know that I've got one up on the majority of the #THF with my ability to do basic things. Just renovated my house from top to bottom by myself and almost doubled the value of the property in the process

The kind of people who know how to build a bookcase generally don't own any books anyway. Â One of life's great paradoxes.
Edit: with the exception of Pete and Mrs Neave, of course. :mymen: :mywoman: :notlikethat:

Carpet fitter coming round on Thursday.
Now all I need is to find a plumber/bathroom fitter who can do a couple of small jobs that I'm too incompetent to do, and I'm laughing.

Thoroughly enjoyable thread, by the way.

My cat fucked my parents carpets as well. They ended up just getting laminate flooring after a while.
Think they're just waiting on her throwing the towel in so they can get a new sofa now.

I have a serious question, plz don't take the piss.
How do I get out a lightbulb like this? It's not like I don't know how to change a lightbulb, but this one went a couple of days ago and I can't get it out at all. It had a wee lamp bit over it before that I had to unscrew, and when I tried to take the bulb out like you usually would it wouldn't come and ended up smashing in my hand (which is why you can't see it). Am I missing something? How do I change this? |
