Spent far too long trying to re-grout my fucking bath. It still looks fucking shite and will probably fall to bits next time I get in the shower.

Is it a generational thing? My dad can practically build a car from scratch, whereas I'm now shiting it because the "change engine oil soon" reminder comes on when I start the car. Putting up a shelf or two is about my limit. Sob

Fucking hate doing it. I tend to go for the clusterfuck method and wait until the house is falling apart then kick out the wife and kids for the day and blast it all in one go.

I've mates & relatives who are tradesman who can usually be bribed to do these things for me, mainly because I'm fucking shite at DIY.

But failing that I get my old man round for it, he actually seems to enjoy it, the only problem is that he makes me stand and watch him "so I know how to do it myself next time". Muggy

He's up the ladder sorting the slates and clearing the drains and guttering every winter.
